Post-Hurricane Melissa School Assessments – Ministry of Education
Photographs & renders
Following Hurricane Melissa, structural condition assessments were carried out at schools across Jamaica to evaluate storm damage and identify the repairs required to restore safe and functional educational facilities.
The assessments were undertaken as part of a design-build arrangement with a construction company for the Ministry of Education. INTEGER conducted structural assessments of multiple schools at various locations across Jamaica and prepared detailed structural assessment reports for each facility. The reports identified the extent and nature of damage and provided specific recommendations for the required repair works, including appropriate repair methods and construction methodologies.
