Atlantic Alumina Company (ATALCO) – Discovery Bauxite Partners

Formerly Noranda Jamaica Bauxite. INTEGER has completed extensive engineering work for this bauxite mining facility, which includes mining, drying, conveying, storage and shipping facilities located along the coast of Discovery Bay, St. Ann, Jamaica.

Projects have included detailed structural audits of the ship-loading gantry, dome storage structure and conveyor systems. Our services included site inspections, measurements and surveys, followed by structural assessments and detailed reports with recommendations for maintenance and repairs.

These coastal structures are exposed to harsh marine conditions, chemical exposure, operational wear and tear, and impact damage. As a result, regular structural audits and maintenance are essential to help identify deterioration, address deficiencies and maintain the continued serviceability of the facilities.
